KWBA uses electric motors on our pumps so recovery (and recharge programs) do not in themselves generate any greenhouse gases. However, the generation of electricity by utilities does generate greenhouse gases offsite. In order to help minimize these offsite emissions, KWBA conducts a Pump Efficiency Program that targets inefficient wells for rehabilitation.
