Moose Peterson, Guest Photographer
As a recipient of the coveted John Muir Conservation Award and a research associate with the Endangered Species Recovery Program, Moose Peterson has seen his share of wild and natural beauty. His photos have been published in more than 130 magazines worldwide, and he has written nearly two dozen books, including Moose Peterson’s Guide to Wildlife Photography.
Moose focuses on North America’s endangered wildlife and wild places—specializing in photographing California’s rare, sensitive and endangered species. So when we invited Moose out to roam the Kern Water Bank in search of subjects, we knew he was in for a treat.
After spending many hours on the water bank property, Moose came away with a collection of shots that tell the story of its natural beauty—and that underscore our commitment to its preservation for generations to come.
We hope you enjoy this gallery as much as we do.
